Yoga Nidra + watercolour painting
Finding time to ‘consciously rest’ is essential to our health and well-being for both the body and the mind. Finding time for Stillness – nourishing your Self – this is where Yoga Nidra comes into play. Yoga Nidra is a 45 minute guided meditation experienced resting on a yoga mat with a pillow and blanket while you are guided using your breath and body awareness techniques to bring you to a gradual state of relaxation.
Yoga Nidra stills the waves of the mind, progressively moving us through the same brainwave states as sleep. Brain activity begins to slow down and our thoughts become fewer and fewer. As we begin to experience relaxation the body releases Serotonin into the system. In this deep state the immune system is boosted. Awaken from this ‘yogic sleep’ to a sense of tranquility, calm and peace.
From this state of bliss, transition silently to your own watercolour painting experience we call ‘Meditation Creations’.
